Dr Yee Choon Meng


Dr. Yee Choon Meng has been practicing as a Palliative Care Specialist in Tan Tock Seng Hospital since 2014. He is currently the Head of Department of Dover Park Hospice Home Care.

Dr Yee graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in 2002 and completed his postgraduate exam and admitted as a Member of Royal College of Physician (Internal Medicine) [MRCP UK] in 2011. He was accredited as a Palliative Care Specialist by Singapore Specialist accreditation board (SSAB) in 2014 and a Fellow at the Academy of Medicine (FAMS) Singapore since 2020.

He is currently a Senior clinical tutor with NUS Yong Loo Ling School of Medicine and National Technological University (NTU) Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. Dr. Yee has dedicated his time and effort, working with other colleagues, via a multi-disciplinary approach, in ensuring provision of holistic care for both patients and their loved ones across multiple hospice and palliative care settings.

He also has special research interest in Cancer Pain Management and Clinical Quality Improvement in Palliative Care. He lead a team at TTSH in developing the Ketamine stepped protocol at TTSH. He was the Chairperson for the National Caregiver Survey Subcommittee under Singapore Hospice Council (SHC) National Quality improvement (QI) committee from 2017 to 2019 and is the Co-chair of the SHC QI from 2020 till now.

Dr. Yee has special interest in Telemedicine and was the pillar behind the development and sustenance of Telehealth at Dover Park Hospice Home Care [Project TeleHEAL (Heal, Embrace And Love), which won the Silver Award at Community Care Excellence Awards 2022 (Productivity Improvement Category) and was awarded 1.1 million dollars Community Silver Trust (CST) Grant to support this endeavour.
